Teriyaki Salmon

Teriyaki Salmon1 Teriyaki Salmon is one of my favorite seafood dishes and perfect for Lent.  Trust me, this is a recipe you have to try.  It is really quick and tastes delicious!

This recipe is a great alternative to your basic fried fish Fridays during Lent.  During Lent, I am always trying to come up with different ways to serve fish on Friday.  This is one to put in the rotation.  The teriyaki sauce pairs perfectly with the salmon flavor.  You will love this recipe for Teriyaki Salmon!

  1. In a small saucepan whisk together low-sodium soy sauce, 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp of the water, the brown sugar, honey, garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Whisk together the corn starch and 2 tbsp of water and add to the sauce pan. Stir until thickened and set aside.
  2. Heat large non-stick skillet on medium-low heat. Add the oil, Pan-fry the salmon on both sides. Spoon the teriyaki sauce over the fish as you turn over. Cook salmon until browned on both sides and cooked through.
  3. Transfer to serving plate and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Recipe Notes

You can also bake the salmon for 12 minutes at 400 degrees.  Omit the oil if you use the oven.
