So we are gearing up for Valentine’s day and I wanted to make a special rendition of my Classic Banana Bread. This one is for all of those chocolate lovers out there…myself included! It is so delicious and I know you are going to love how easy it is to make!
My whole family loves this bread, even my son who hates bananas. You will notice on my recipe that it only has 2 bananas in the list of ingredients. This helps the chocolate flavor shine through and not be overpowered by banana.
This tastes amazing warmed right out of the oven with the edges of the bread still crispy. But it is also great after with a hot cup of coffee the morning after! Mmmmm…So Yummy!! You should try this recipe for Double Chocolate Banana Bread immediately!

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8x4 in loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mix sugar and butter. Add the eggs, bananas, milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
Slowly stir in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir until moistened then add the chocolate chips. Stir until blended through.
Pour the batter into the lined loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes then remove from the pan. Let sit for an additional 20 minutes. Slice and serve.
